Missed Appointments (Did Not Attend) Policy

Appointments at the practice are in high demand. If you are unable to attend your appointment, please cancel it as soon as possible so the appointment can be offered to another patient.

If a patient does not attend a booked appointment, this will be recorded in their medical record and the practice may attempt to contact the patient to understand the reason for the missed appointment.

Where a patient misses three appointments within a 12-month period without cancelling, the practice may review the situation and discuss this with the patient. Continued non-attendance may result in further action, which could include removal from the practice list in line with NHS guidance.
