Proposed Changes to Patient Registration at Parkfields Surgery

We would like to inform you of a proposed change to how we manage patient registrations across Hollybrook Medical Centre sites. We want to ensure you have a clear and comprehensive understanding of how things currently operate and the nature of the proposed change.

current registration

proposed registration

We propose moving to a single patient registration list for all Hollybrook Medical Centre sites, effective April 2026.

This would mean:

  • All current patient records and registrations at Parkfields Surgery would automatically transfer to the main Hollybrook Medical Centre list, alongside those from Sinfin Health Centre and Haven Medical Centre: Osmaston Road.

Appointment times and services offered at each site would remain unchanged. The difference would be the administrative structure.

What Will This Mean?

  • This is an administrative change, not a change to clinical care.
  • Patients will continue to use their preferred surgery site.
  • There will be no reduction in appointment availability or services.
  • The same doctors, nurses, and staff will remain at each location.
  • Patients currently registered at Parkfields Surgery would have their main registration at Hollybrook Medical Centre.
  • All branches will stay open – there are no plans to close any site.

How things work now

Hollybrook Medical Centre operates across four sites:

  • Hollybrook Medical Centre (main site)
  • Sinfin Health Centre (branch site)
  • Haven Medical Centre: Osmaston Road (branch site)
  • Parkfields Surgery (main site)

At present, we maintain two separate patient registration lists:

  • Patients registered at Hollybrook Medical Centre, Sinfin Health Centre and Haven Medical Centre: Osmaston Road are on one list.
  • Patients registered at Parkfields Surgery are on another list.
  •

Why Are We Proposing This Change?

Operating two separate registration lists means some tasks must be duplicated by staff, which can be confusing for both patients and team members. Moving to a single registration list will:

  • Streamline administrative processes.
  • Free up staff time to focus more on patient care.
  • Simplify the patient experience when using our services.
  • Support us in delivering even better care to our community.
